So often people ask me why they are stuck, unmotivated, or unable to achieve their goals, and when we dig into their issues, the answer is often unrelated to what they’re eating or how they’re exercising.
It’s found in the seven Biblical truths I will be sharing today. These seven Biblical truths will change you and your situation if you lean into them!
Let’s open our Bibles and our hearts to God and uncover what could be holding us back.
The Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 6:5, “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength strength.”
When Jesus is asked by the scribes what is the greatest commandment in Matthew 22:37-40,
He replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
God understands this is impossible without Him, so we need to rely on the Holy SPirit and ask Him to help us.
This is how we grow in God, out of our love for Him, we seek Him, we pray, we read our Bibles, and we show others love and grace, even if they don't deserve it.
Before God formed you He knew you and chose you for such a time as this. This is your time! God created you for a purpose and has put you in a position to serve Him.
Genesis 1:27: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;”
Esther 4:14 “For such a time as this”
Because you are an image bearer of the one true God, only He has the right to define you. If you are insecure, this means there is a lie you’re believing about yourself that is not God’s truth about you. Please take your insecurity to Jesus. Google what the Bible says about it, and when you feel that insecurity speak that scripture over yourself.
Your sin, past and future sin, was nailed to the cross, you are forgiven, made righteous, and you are redeemed!
Don’t get stuck in the trap of thinking you can earn God’s love or your salvation, it is a free gift. There’s nothing you can do to earn it. There is only Jesus standing in the gap between you and God that makes you worthy, accept this, let it wash over you, and free you.
Guilt and shame are our way of trying to pay for our sin, but Jesus already paid it all on the cross.
“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.” 1 Peter 3:18
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
John 1:9 NIV - “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
We need to be in the Word and learn the truth because John 8:32 tells us, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” And John 10:10 tells us, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
The good news is the devil has no authority over you.
You have been rescued from the domain of Satan’s rule and transferred to the kingdom of Christ (Colossians 1:13).
God has a plan for your life, and you have not because you ask not. He will supply all of your needs according to His riches and glory.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11.
James 4:2 says, “You have not because you ask not and goes on to say that it’s our heart’s motivation that often keeps us from getting the thing He planned for us.”
Philippians 4:19 says, “God will supply all your needs according to His riches and glory.”
We all have a God-shaped hole that can only be filled with Jesus. After we get saved we often forget this, nothing satisfies but Jesus.
In the introduction to my NKJV Bible the book Ecclesiastes shares this, "The keyword in Ecclesiastes is vanity, the futile emptiness of trying to be happy apart from God, the preacher traditionally taken to be Solomon, the wisest richest, most influential king of Israel’s history, looks at life under the sun, and from the human perspective declares it at all to be empty.
Power, popularity, prestige, pleasure nothing can fill the god shape void in man’s life, but God himself, but once scene from God‘s perspective, life takes on meaning and purpose, causing Solomon to exclaim eat, drink, rejoice, do good live joyfully, for God, keep his commandments. Skepticism and despair, melt away when life is viewed as a daily gift from God."
In everything, God is with you. God has given you all the instructions for living you need in The Bible, it is the manual for life.
“Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” Psalm 25:4-5.
Here are some very important real-life examples of how we take these scriptures and apply them to our lives because living Christ-centered lives in a self-centered culture means we are at war every day and all the time.

A Strong. Confident. His. woman looks life in the face and says...
In Jesus, I am unstoppable.
The numbers don’t define me.
I’m not the number sewn in my clothes, the number of candles on my cake, the number of likes or followers I have, the money I make, the zip code I live in, or the number on the scale.
I am a unique, one-of-a-kind, God-designed daughter of the King!
When I’m weak, He is my strength.
When I’m broken and defeated, He picks me up.
When I’m rejected, He embraces me.
When I fall, His grace covers me.
When I don’t know what to do, He directs my path.
He dresses me with strength and makes my arms strong.
When I see myself through. His eyes, I’m fearless. He is my Father. I am His daughter. He made me to bring Him glory and I will shine for Him. I am Strong. Confident. His.
