Friend, there is an answer to every issue you face in the Bible.
Learning the Word of God may seem intimidating or perhaps you’re unsure of how it applies to your life, but THIS episode will make it relevant and applicable.
It’s so important and powerful to know who God says you are and His promises to you.
If this is new to you, I’ve got you! After you tune in, head here for a free download:
“A Christian Woman’s Guide to Gaining Confidence and Losing Insecurity”
The world is so loud right now, isn’t it? It’s full of stress, opinions, and confusion, but in Christ, you have the power and ability to look at all that’s going on and say, “Jesus has got me! No fear, no doubt, no stress here!”
I want you to know and experience this.
Our minds are the battlefield and we have a real enemy trying to take us out every day.
So if we don't know the word of God, we have nothing to fight with!
This episode is pure faith fuel for your soul.
I have a question for you...
Do you know any scriptures that you can say right now off the top of your head…
Judgment free zone here!
Consider me a sister in Christ wanting to help you grow in your strength and confidence in Christ, Have you heard this song, “Who you say I am” by Hillsong? I’ll put it in the show notes.
This song, oh my goodness, if you can listen to it without crying I’ll give you 100 dollars! I'm joking, but in all seriousness, this song perfectly sums up my message today.
It’s so important and powerful to know who God says we are.
There are so many scriptures that have challenged me, carried me, and changed me, so I hope to encourage you to adopt this life-changing habit.
This tip really helps…
Writing them down...and put them on your mirror, refrigerator, in your office, and even make a note on your phone of them, and here’s a favorite tip: put an alert on your phone with your go-to scripture for whatever you’re needing right now to reset your mindset in just a moment with Christ a day!
I have a confession! I’m kind of obsessed with sticky notes, so I had to stop myself and now they are only neatly placed in key areas.
The constant reminder of the Words of God, are reminders that His Word is our final authority.
In Christ, we have the power and ability to look at all that’s going on in the world and say, "Jesus has got me! No fear, no doubt, no stress here!"
7 Scriptures That Will Change Your Life
1. Call to Me and I will answer You- Jeremiah 33:3
This is so simple...our amazing Jesus! He’s there even when don’t see it, He’s orchestrating everything in our lives and answering us even when it may not look like the answer you were praying for it is!
2. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your path. Do not be wise in your own eyes: Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones. – Proverbs 3:5-8
3. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. – Proverbs 4: 23
Do you need to guard your heart?
This isn’t always from outside sources, sometimes we do this to ourselves with our expectations. Raising my hand here!
Maybe today your expectations are making you feel like you’re a failure which isn’t true or maybe there’s’ a relationship that isn’t God’s best for you.
I’ve learned a hard lesson….Not everyone will come on your life’s journey, but God will put the right people in the position to elevate you and support His mission for you.
4. Revelation 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
God freed me from the pit of dieting when my eyes read those words. I want you to try this: pray this scripture before you eat and ask God to join you, talk to Him give Him your emotions, your hunger, and let Him fill you up!
5.Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7
Did you know anxiety, depression, and stress are at an all-time high right now? For those of us who love Jesus, we don’t have to live this way.
I hope that you write this one down and let it calm your heart when the cares of this world are bringing you down.
6. Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10
With all that’s going on in the world, I’ve been praying this one a lot! I mean just the idea of putting your kids on the bus right now, it’s more than a mamas’ heart can take!
Fear can grip all of us, so having a go-to Word like this one is like a hug for your heart.
This next scripture is a must memorize go to! If you need strength today, strength to keep believing, if you need to hold onto hope, if you need to remember that God is faithful, if you need to overcome the lies of the enemy, if you need to take every thought captive to obey Christ, if you need to submit to God and resist the devil, so he will flee.
Or maybe today you just need the strength to get through this day.
Friend, this is your word:
7. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. – Philippians 4:13
I shared this in my book, Faith Inspired Inspired Transformation, F.I.T.,
The answer you’re looking for is in the word, not the world! Amen!
These 7 scriptures are just a tiny sample of the life-changing truth of being a Christ-follower.
Nothing else compares, and nothing else assures our hearts like Scripture does. Nothing else points us to Christ-like the Word, itself.
Prayer:
Dear God,
Many of my sisters may be new to Your word and some may be long-time Christ-followers who could use a refreshing that only You bring.
Today we come as we are, in the middle of life’s messiness and all the ups and downs, and long to feel your presence. Your word says that we should write your word on the tablet of our hearts. Father, help us learn the scriptures our hearts need to strengthen us for the journeys you’ve prepared us for and give us confidence that Your word will not return to you void, but accomplish what you will it to.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Faith Fuel:
“However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands,” Acts 7:48
This means that the temple is no longer a building but it abides in us. Every Christian is a temple because the spirit of God abides in us. And as temples, we are to carry God’s word in our hearts. Read the word, speak the word, breathe the word.
It is our power, strength, and confidence.
