Prayer from day 19 of the Strong. Confident. His. Faith and Fitness Devotional

Dear God,

I don’t know how to deal with my emotions, and it causes me to turn to food and other unhealthy behaviors. I keep getting stuck in a never-ending loop of overindulgence and self-loathing. I feel like a prisoner in my thoughts and in my body. Snap me out of this, Lord. Awaken my spirit to be alert to the schemes of the enemy. He knows exactly how to get me. Jesus, take the desire out of my mouth and free me from extremes. When I’m trapped here, you seem so far away. Living without balance is destroying my health. Lord, fill my mind, body, and soul with you, so I can know balance and stop the hunger for things that never satisfy.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
