On today’s episode, you’ll get the key steps to begin thinking Godly Power Thoughts.
Romans 12:2 tell us…
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Before I jump into today’s episode, I'm blessed to share this 5 Star Review:
The Strong. Confident. His. Podcast has helped so much through this pandemic. I’ve wanted to give up on my fitness goals because the world seems so unstable right now and scary. Listening to the podcasts and doing the mini-course has helped teach me that I’m worth taking care of and I just need to do one day at a time with Christ. I’m feeling healthier than ever and determined to come out of this better than ever!
Thank you with all my heart! - Karen.

I love seeing how the Word empowers us so deeply that it changes everything about our mindsets.
This is so important because our thoughts shape our future and our reality.
Have you ever heard the stories about the people who get plastic surgery, but still see themselves negatively? Or people who lose weight, but still see themselves as overweight.
It’s because they’ve created a filter in their mind of how they see themselves, so nothing they do can fix it, but God!
Your mind is a filter, and your filter is formed from all of your experiences, good or bad.
This is where we need the Word of God to repair our mindsets. Without Him and His Word, we are controlled by our thoughts even when we know they are wrong! This is why we don’t and can't reach our goals our thinking won't let us.
Have you heard the quote that says something like this?
If you reached your goals who's life would be changed? Would it just be your life? Or many?
For those of you who know me, you know that I have insane discipline. I will work nonstop to achieve my goals, I’ve been on over 25 magazine covers, written 100s if not 1000 fitness articles for top fitness magazines, but God showed me that I had a worldly mindset about fitness. It was all striving to achieve this ideal of what fit looked like and the way I was doing it was self-centered but it needed to be Christ-centered. This mindset drained me of His power...
When God led me to this scripture, I fell on my knees and cried in repentance.
You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. – James 4:3
It never feels like enough, because only God is enough…
This is why people can reach a goal, but feel completely unsatisfied.
I experienced this at my fittest. I looked in the mirror and tried to position myself in a way that made me see what I wanted to see.
The mirror of your mind can lie friend, but the word of God does not!
A very common topic I coach women about daily is that they think if they could look a certain way they'd be happy, but this isn't true. You can be happy now.
I want to help you learn that what you think about your fitness goals and why you're trying to reach them is controlling whether or not you achieve them.
Here’s what I’ve learned from many, many women, including myself.
The mindset needs to shift from what we look like to:
Being the best version of yourself for God to conquer every goal He has given you.
What you look like goals only feed your insecurity and drive you to dark, desperate places of not-enoughness!
Because we are sisters-in-Christ, I have deep empathy for you, so I share the truth to protect you from it.
Today’s gift is from the pages of my heart. It’s where God rewrote His truth all over the world’s lies and gave me peace and success and now I get to hand it off to you!
You’re going to learn to identify the thoughts that are keeping you from God’s best, key trade-ups, create replacement statements, and learn how to break the strongholds of wrong thinking that keep you from making the choices and reaching the goals you really want to reach.
I’m going to pray for us.
Dear God,
Thank you for your word that washes the lies from our thoughts. Your word tells us to renew our minds and not be conformed to this world. I lift my FIT sisters in Christ up in prayer and ask that the thoughts they have about themselves would be so full of your truth that whatever has happened to them in their past or whatever wrong tape they continue to play would be deleted!
It’s time for us to rise up, think power thoughts, and conquer life with you, Lord.
Prepare our hearts, our minds, and our bodies to be their fittest for you!
In Jesus’ name, amen.

I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. – Psalm 121:1
