If you're battling addiction, if you're battling wanting to lose weight, if you feel like you can't do it, this episode is for you because this is real talk about hard things. I recently interviewed Alice Shoemaker- Scarborough on the Strong Confident His Podcast. She is a FIT Sister in Christ Member and an amazing example of what it means to be Strong. Confident. His.
God healed Alice from addiction, got her healthy and fit, and took her from food stamps to college. This is her story for God's glory.
She's had a Jesus transformation, and her story is going to touch you whether you've ever battled addiction or not or whether you're trying to lose weight, this is going to bless you.
Sisters, this conversation is real, raw, and deep. Please join us in watching the conversation. No blog post can capture the realness and emotion we expressed during this interview.

Faith Fuel:
"For we do not have a high priest, who is unable to empathize with our weakness. But we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are and he did not sin. So let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." – Hebrews 14:15-16
God took Alice's ashes and made something beautiful out of her life.
She prayed this beautiful prayer of hope and restoration over you on this new episode.
God, we come to you right now and we lift up your name. We thank you. We thank you for the dark times. Thank you for the good times, Father God. And right now, in this very moment, there is someone that is reading this, Father God, who may either be going through addiction or know someone that is going through addiction. And I just ask that you reach down and put someone in their pathway so that they are not alone.
With you, all things are possible. You can bring us out of that darkness and into the light. God and when we look in the mirror, I pray my sisters will see beauty, they will see strength, they will see confidence, they will see you.
Father, you can make all things new.
So as we go through our daily walks and in our workouts and our eating, Father God, we put you first in all of it. We invite you to our table. We invite you to our workouts. We invite you into our recovery. Father, God, I thank you for the heart of Kim, God.For putting it on her heart to share this message of hope for health.
Continue to give us your guidance, and your grace, and I thank you for your mercy. I thank you for changing my heart, my mind, and my soul. Father God, when others look at us, let them see you.
In your son's precious name, I pray. Amen.
Sister, the devil wants you in the dark. He wants you to eat in the dark, and drink in the dark. He wants you to feel terrible about yourself in the dark. He wants to pull you down into the darkness and make you crave it; there is no life there.
"Submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee." – James 4:7
Seek God in your area of addiction and you will be made new. That is our prayer for you today.
